How to set up NordProtect?

Setting up NordProtect is a straightforward process designed to enhance your online security. With a few simple steps, you can integrate this solid protection into your devices, ensuring a safer browsing experience.

Multi-factor authentication setup

NordProtect offers Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as an added layer of security to help protect user accounts. This feature safeguards against unauthorized access, ensuring that only authorized users can log into accounts, making it an essential tool for strengthening overall security.

If you wish to set up your NordProtect account follow these steps:

1.  Log in to your NordProtect account, you will be directed to log in via Nord Account as it connects your subscription to your account.
2. Next, press the verify button located on the bottom-left section:
   
   
   
   
3. Select the enable MFA on Nord Account button:
   
   
   
   
4. Afterward, follow the further steps in our guide on how to set up an MFA on Nord Account to complete the MFA setup.

Identity verification

NordProtect's identity verification offers a secure and efficient method for confirming your identity, providing an essential layer of protection against fraud. This process ensures that your personal information and assets are safeguarded, giving you peace of mind during online transactions and interactions.

If you wish to verify your identity follow these steps: 

1. Once the multi-factor authentication process is done, log in to your NordProtect account once more.
2. Next, the disclosure agreement will pop up. After reading it and checking the box, press the continue button:
   
   
   
   
3. Afterward, you will be redirected to the identity verification window, fill in the information, and press the verify button.
   
   
   
   
4. Immediately after, select your preferred passcode delivery method, SMS code or phone call:
   
   
   
   
5. After receiving the code, input it in the text box:
   
   
   
   
6. In some cases, once the code has been used, you will be redirected to the security questions section. Select the answers and press the next button:
