Because Nord products' databases are interconnected, deleting only your NordProtect account will not remove basic information, such as your email address, from Nord’s database if you have an existing Nord account.
You can delete your NordProtect personal account in two ways:
Full Nord Account deletion
Please note that Nord Account deletion will apply to all Nord Security products and services, including NordVPN, NordPass, and NordLocker. To keep other services apart from NordProtect, follow the steps for only NordProtect account deletion provided below.
To delete your Nord Account, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your Nord Account:
- Click on your email address and go to account settings:
- At the bottom of the page, you will see the account deletion section. Click delete account:
- You must verify your email by entering the verification code sent to your email address.
- After you have verified your account, you will be provided with the next steps to delete your account.
NordProtect account deletion
If you’ve decided to delete your NordProtect account, whether due to privacy concerns, switching to a different service, or simply no longer needing the service, it’s important to follow the proper steps to ensure your account is fully removed. To delete your account, follow these steps:
- Go to the NordProtect login page.
- Press the log in with your Nord account button.
- Afterward, log in to your Nord account.
- Once you log in, press the settings button on the left side.
- Scroll down to the actions section, and press the delete account button.
- A confirmation message will appear; if you still want to continue with the deletion after reading it, you can just press the continue anyway button.
Important: If you delete your account, all your data stored on the Service (i.e., your NordProtect account) will be deleted; this will not affect other Nord products.
